The Teton Institute Road Show … Memphis:  November 9 & 10, 2012

We are happy to announce that the next Teton Institute Roadshow will be held in Memphis, Tennessee on November 9th and 10th, 2012!  Cecil Smith and Carol Gonnella will host their popular Teton Institute 2-day workshop in Memphis at the Embassy Suites Hotel on Shady Grove Road.  The hotel is across the street from Cecil’s law offices.

Because we had so many attendees request that we offer some Ethics credits, we are including 2 hours of Ethics topics in this year’s workshop.  The Ethics courses will be taught by Bruce Smith, one of Cecil’s partners at Apperson Crump PLC, the oldest law firm in Memphis … having been in continuous operation since 1865.  Bruce, former Hearing Panel Member of Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee, travels making presentations about Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility.  Bruce also serves as the Ethics Officer at Apperson Crump.  Attorneys at Apperson Crump consult with Bruce whenever they feel they have a possibility of a conflict or other ethical issue.

This year’s workshop will also include courses on the post-mortem settlement of trusts and estates.  These courses will be taught by Tara Kostakis, who has served as law clerk for our Probate Judges; thus, she knows the ins and outs of Probate and is responsible for most of Apperson Crump’s post-mortem settlement business.

The topics to be covered include:

1.   Asset Protection Above Ground … strategies available to protect you during your lifetime.

2.   Asset Protection Below Ground … strategies available to protect your heirs after your death.

3.   The Seven Tiers of Asset Protection

4.   Worksheet to Analyze Assets Exposed to Seizure

It’s Like Flying First Class.

The class will be small.  The pace will be slow.  The interaction between attendees and faculty will be invigorating; thus, the learning experience will be huge.  After Lew Dymond attended the Teton Institute a few years ago, he said “It was like flying first class.”

The goal of this workshop is for you to go home with the knowledge and tools to support and implement practical asset protection strategies that work.  Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this year’s Teton Institute Roadshow.
